Harriet Huff is an visionary impressionist artist focused on the environment and the spiritual beauty of nature. Her paintings of water and majestic mountain ranges evoke a mood of radiant energy to inspire the viewer to feel appreciation and respect, offer healing and cooperation, to the preservation of our earthly landscape home. Plein air pastel and oil paintings are the main mediums in this current phase. Spanning an art career of over forty years, Huff is also known as a master intaglio printmaker, gallery owner, and fine arts educator. Harriet has two studios. Her main printmaking studio, A Room with a View, is on Maui and her other, Artist Loft at Skyland is in Crested Butte, Colorado.
As an internationally award winning artist, Huff has exhibited in 88 art galleries and numerous museum group shows in Paris, New York, Chicago, Texas, California, Hawaii, the Mid-west, and Rocky Mountain regions. Harriet opened her own printmaking art studio gallery on Canyon Road in Santa Fe when she was 23 and later in Steamboat Springs, CO and Maui.
Harriet is an intaglio master printmaker with a BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts. Post graduate studies include SAIC, Chicago, University of Grenoble, France, Un of Texas, Un of Hawaii, Pratt Art Institute in Venice, Italy, and NY Parsons in Paris.
Huff has been on the faculty of Philbrook Museum Art School, Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she is in their permanent collection, Colorado Mountain College, Hui No’eau Visual Art Center, Maui and Seabury Hall, Maui.
Harriet Huff has been featured in the American Artists Renown; Who’s Who World of Women, Cambridge, England; Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Art, Who’s Who in American Woman, and International Biography, Delhi, India. She is a member of the International Mezzotint Society, Hui No’eau Visual Art Center, Plein Air Painters of Hawaii, and Artists of the West Elks.
